Orkney Angora

William Sichel - Orkney AngoraOrkney Angora was started from the ruins of a derelict croft in the spring of 1982.

William and Elizabeth personally supervise all aspects of the business and maintain the high quality standards which have seen their enterprise grow so substantially over the years.

Their specialised thermal clothing products and hand dyed knitting yarns are promptly despatched by mail order throughout the U.K. and abroad.

Their Craft Shop, at Upper Breckan in Sanday, is usually open from 1.30 – 5.30 from April to September.

There are many bargains only available direct from the Craft Shop.

 Sanday Golf Course

Sanday's golfers believe club fees are the lowest in the kingdom. For just £5 a day you can enjoy the island's charming 9-hole course (2,600 yards, par 35). Summer competitions are on Tuesday evenings, and visitors are welcome – an assortment of clubs can be made available at short notice. If you prefer to play by yourself, you'll find a card and can pay your fee through the honesty-box attached to the Clubhouse.
