Get Involved

There are always opportunities to become involved in the work of the Trust through its current projects or through new initiatives. Here's three easy ways to get involved with Sanday Development Trust...

Join us

Sanday Development Trust is a membership-based organisation. Anyone can become a member of the Trust if their main residence is in Sanday and they are over 16 years of age. If you would like to support the Trust in its work, becoming a member is one of the easiest ways to do this. There is no charge to join and all you need to do is complete and return a membership form.

By becoming a member not only do you enable the Trust to demonstrate that it has public support for its activities but you are also entitled to vote on decisions and to stand as a director of the board.

Volunteer with us

Learn new skills, meet new people and make a real difference to your local community.

Volunteers are a valued part of the Trust and we couldn't achieve the things we do without their support. Volunteers are involved with a wide range of activities and whether you’re looking for outdoor practical activities with the ranger, providing indoor support or volunteering as a director, we will have something to suit you. Some activities occur on a regular basis, some are for the duration of a particular project and others are as and when needed or available.

Whatever your reason for volunteering, whether it be learning new skills, sharing interests, gaining experience, meeting new people or knowing that your contribution is making a difference, we aim to ensure that you find satisfaction and enjoyment.
