Sanday is well supplied with places to eat. The Kettletoft Hotel supplies bar and restaurant meals at lunchtimes and evenings. The nearby Belsair Guesthouse is also licensed for alcohol and serves teas, lunches and evening meals.
Vegetarians are very well catered for at Backaskaill Vegetarian B&B, where the ground floor Tea Room serves light lunches, morning coffee and afternoon teas and evening meals are served in the cosy first floor dining room. Non-residents are welcome. There is no alcohol licence but diners may bring their own bottle (no corkage charge.)
Takeaway service
The Ayre’s Rock Takeaway is open every Saturday evening for Fish and Chips and an assortment of other classic takeaway items. A pizza takeaway and delivery service is available on Tuesday evenings and an in-season breakfast service is also available. Watch out for themed special nights.
The Kettletoft Hotel also provides a takeaway Fish and Chip service, on Wednesday and Saturday evenings.
