Every adult resident in Sanday is automatically a member , with a right to attend and vote at the Annual General Meeting and to be elected, thereat, to membership of the Executive Committee. The Community Association is responsible for the general administration of community facilities of a voluntary nature. In co-operation with the school, it administers the use of the community accommodation at the School/Community complex. This includes the Community Room (a small hall capable of seating fifty or more people on free-standing chairs and using free-standing tables as may be required), the swimming pool and the shared use of school classrooms, hall, playing field and car park. From time to time the Community Association organises and funds public entertainments by visiting performers of various sorts.
