Today’s Raft Regatta CANCELLED – Gardens Still Open

Due to the dodgy weather forecast – predicting 30mph winds at lunch time – it has been decided to cancel today’s Raft Regatta and Barbecue.
However, the Gardens will still be open to view. They are: Warbreckan, Lealand, Benmar, Woodhouse, Upper Breckan, School Plantation, Westbank, Seaview, Viggie, Bressigarth, Braeside, Millhouse, and Kirkhall.

This weekend sees the Annual Raft Regatta and Open Gardens.
The Regatta commences at 1:30 pm from Bridgend.

Sanday Sunday this Sunday – Spring Fair

Sunday marks the first ‘Sanday Sunday’ of the summer.  A Spring Fair is being held at the school, starting at 2pm. Locally made items, plants and produce will be on sale from the various stalls.
Refreshments will be available and members of the Sanday Fiddle Club will be fund raising by busking in the refreshment area.

‘Sanday Voices’ Launch Party

Two Ships Passing

On Saturday, Sanday’s Drama Group took us back twenty years to a couple of the last sailings of the mv ‘Orcadia’.
The plot of ‘Two Ships Passing’ was entirely home-grown, and it began with bar steward, Robbie (Raymond Dempster) introducing us to  a set that was simple but cleverly located across the middle of the Hall. [...]
